Phoebe is a queer, Cantonese-American artist born and raised in New England. In the professional sphere, they are a visual development artist, specializing in prop and environment design. They enjoy crafting city scenes and architecture, and their favorite types of backgrounds are cluttered settings with lots of room for hidden easter eggs. Much of their visual aesthetic is inspired by alternative subculture along with Japanese anime, American cartoons, and western indie comics.

Their personal work often depicts Asian and Chinese American characters occupying queer and alternative spaces, as well as confronting mental illness. Often, they feel isolated not only from general American society as a perpetual foreigner, but in Chinese and Asian spaces as well, having been left to deal with their queerness and traumas on their own. Their art affords a space to face the grief and loneliness on their own terms, and by creating the art, they hope to erect a space for others to explore them as well.
